MyMentor Cattolica closes its XI edition: 11 years in network

The final LabRoom of the 2025/2026 edition took place at the Piacenza Campus, bringing together the project community, institutional reflections, testimonials and future perspectives

On 9 June 2026, the final LabRoom of the XI edition of MyMentor Cattolica, titled “11 years in network”, took place at the Conference Centre of the Piacenza Campus of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

The event was a moment of reflection, exchange and sharing for the MyMentor community: mentors, mentees, members of the Technical Scientific Committee, faculty members, alumni and representatives of the University.

Eleven years after its launch, MyMentor Cattolica confirms its role as a mentoring and guidance programme based on the relationship between generations, experiences and skills. Over time, the project has grown significantly, involving students and PhD candidates from the Faculties of Economics and Law and Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, across the Piacenza and Cremona campuses.

The meeting was opened by Angelo Manfredini, Director of the Piacenza-Cremona Campus, who introduced the significance of the event and the value of the project for the university community and the local area.

Two members of the Technical Scientific Committee then spoke on behalf of the Deans of the two Faculties involved.

Claudio Soregaroli, representing the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, underlined the value of the programme and its strong vocation across both campuses, Piacenza and Cremona.

Francesco Timpano, representing the Faculty of Economics and Law, thanked the members of the Technical Scientific Committee and the mentors, highlighting their essential contribution to making MyMentor a stable, active and generative community.

Franca Cantoni then presented the meaning of MyMentor 2030, the initiative that strengthens the project’s perspective on sustainable and inclusive development.

Fabrizio Capocasale retraced the evolution of MyMentor, presenting the numbers, milestones and development of the network: from the early stages of the project to the current community, which over eleven editions has built lasting connections among students, mentors, alumni, companies and institutions.

At the heart of his contribution was also the theme of responsibility: the responsibility not to leave young people alone when facing the complexity of professional choices, but to offer them an authentic relationship, a space for dialogue and a meaningful path of guidance.

Roberta Virtuani presented the work carried out through the Focus Groups, moments of listening and exchange that allow the community to grow not only in numbers, but also in the quality of its relationships and in its ability to respond to the needs of both mentees and mentors.

The event also gave voice to the protagonists of the programme, with contributions from Costantino Gentile and a mentee of the XI edition, who shared the concrete value of the mentor–mentee experience.

The central moment of the evening was the testimony of Cav. Alberto Di Tanno, interviewed by Fabrizio Campione. His entrepreneurial story was direct, concrete and highly impactful, offering mentors and mentees an authentic perspective on vision, results, responsibility and professional growth.

The LabRoom officially closed the XI edition of MyMentor Cattolica, confirming the strength of a network that continues to grow over time and generate value through relationships.

MyMentor Cattolica continues its journey with the awareness that guidance is not only about providing information, but about building relationships, encouraging dialogue and supporting young people as they shape their future.
